This year's Drug Therapy Day sponsored by the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario,
will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at the Lamplighter Inn London. This conference has been held annually for
the past 35 years. Many physicians and pharmacists from Southwestern Ontario have attended this conference on a
regular basis and the feedback is that the conference provides important and timely information regarding optimal
drug therapy. As in previous years, our goal is to cover emerging areas of interest to the practicing physicians
and pharmacists, by bringing in expert physicians and pharmacists as speakers. This year we are focusing on the
following:

- Current therapeutic options for chronic pain.
- New issues of relevance to drug therapy during pregnancy and for children.
- Describing key issues surrounding the use of Opioid medications.
- Outline new therapies or treatment options for GERD, dementia, herbal drugs, statin myopathy, and post menopausal hormone replacement therapy.
This program meets the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited
for up to 5.5 MAINPRO-M1 credits and the conference has been accredited by The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Canada for 5.5 hours. The cost of registering is modest and will include continental breakfast and a buffet style
lunch. Seating will be limited to 200 registrants so be sure to register early to avoid being placed on a waiting list.
We hope to see you at the conference on April 14th.
