This year's Drug Therapy Day sponsored by the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario,
will be held on Wednesday April 15 at the Lamplighter Inn London. This conference has been held annually for the past
30 years.
Many physicians and pharmacists from Southwestern Ontario have attended this conference on a regular basis
and the feedback is that the conference provides important and timely information regarding optimal drug therapy.
As in previous years, our goal is to cover emerging areas of interest to the practicing physicians and pharmacists,
by bringing in expert physicians and pharmacists as speakers. This year we are focusing on the following:
- To describe current therapeutic options for common respiratory diseases
- To appreciate new issues of relevance to drug therapy in women and children
- To understand recent advances in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes of relevance
to community practice.
- To describe key issues surrounding increasing MRSA infections.
- To outline new therapies or treatment options for hypertension, eczema,
and inflammatory bowel disease.
We will provide 5.5 MAINPRO-M1 credits. The conference has been accredited by The Royal College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Canada. The cost of registering is modest and will include continental breakfast and a buffet style lunch.
Seating will be limited to 170 registrants so be sure to register early to avoid being placed on a waiting list. We hope
to see you at the conference on April 15th.
