Drug Therapy Day 2011 held on April 13 at the Lamplighter Inn was a major success. Nearly 200 registrants and outstanding speakers. Thanks to our Drug Therapy Day Organizing Committee members and a special thanks to Robin Legan and Julie Brown.
Inna Gong (supervisor Dr. Richard Kim) received a CIHR Doctoral Research Award – Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship for her research on “The role of drug transporters in rivaroxaban disposition: molecular determinants of kinetics and clinical drug response”. Dr. Rommel Tirona’s CIHR grant “Role of Skeletal Muscle Drug Transporters in Statin-Induced Myopathy” was funded (4 yrs. Total awarded $584,056). Congratulations!
