Welcome!
"Clinical Pharmacology is a discipline dedicated to the bench-to-bedside study of drug action through an in-depth
knowledge of human pharmacology and therapeutics"
Welcome to the Division of Clinical Pharmacology. We are a Division within in the Department of Medicine at the
University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Our faculty is dedicated to advancing our
knowledge of determinants of variation in drug disposition, adverse drug reactions, and to uncover novel mechanisms
of drug action. We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to studying drug responsiveness in health and disease.
Expertise in our division encompass areas of Personalized Medicine, Drug Metabolizing Enzymes & Transporters,
Pharmacokinetics, Drug Interactions & Polypharmacy, Drug Safety, Vascular Response & Stroke, and Pharmacoepidemiology
of relevance to both adult and pediatric patient populations.
In addition to research, we offer an outstanding subspecialty residency training program in Clinical Pharmacology.
Clinical Pharmacology is a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada recognized subspecialty. We are one of
the few sites in Canada offering a Clinical Pharmacology training program. Feel free to browse this website for more
details regarding research and clinical training opportunities available in our Division.
